My Subject Options

If you’re in second or third year, you’ll have some decisions to make about the subjects you’re going to take for the rest of your time at school.

Lockers

The subject choices you have will vary depending on your school. Your teachers will be able to tell you exactly what your options are. If you’re not sure, ask them!

It’s really important that you make the right choices so we’ve put together a bunch of tips to help you make up your mind.

And we’ve built a pretty smart Subject Chooser tool that will match your career ideas with the subjects you’ll need to get there.

You’ll have a lot to choose from. Your school won’t be offering every single subject we've listed below – no school does – but it will be offering a lot of them. Before you go diving in with your choices, it makes sense to know what each subject is all about.

Click on the 'Curriculum Areas' below and you'll find all the information you need. Check what each subject involves at the level you'll be studying it.
