FOCUS West has compiled 'Progression Agreements' with university and other higher education partners based on the outcomes of our Top-Up Programme and Portfolio Development Programme.
As well as helping pupils to develop study skills and prepare for university, completion of the FOCUS West Top-Up Programme and, where relevant, the FOCUS West Portfolio Development Programme, can increase pupils' chances of gaining a place at their chosen university.
Completion of these programmes may be taken into account by admissions tutors if UCAS applicants narrowly fail to meet their condition of offer. For example, an 'adjusted offer' may be made, allowing the applicant to achieve one grade below the stated entry requirements in one or two Higher subjects.
