FOCUS West Activities

FOCUS West (Focus on College and University Study – West of Scotland) is the largest division of the national Schools for Higher Education Programme. Our job is to increase the number of school pupils moving into higher education, whether this be directly into university or via a Higher National Qualification at college.

We work with almost 40 schools in the west of Scotland, targeting those that record relatively low levels of progression to higher education. Rather than representing one specific university or college, FOCUS West works on behalf of ALL higher education institutions in Scotland. This means that we have a balanced overview of all the options open to pupils in our schools.

These programmes are offered free of charge to all FOCUS West schools.
