There are 18 universities in Scotland which offer degree-level courses in a variety of subjects.

Usually, applicants are expected to achieve 4-5 Higher qualifications after school to get a place directly on the course for university- but this can vary depending on the course a pupil is applying for- you can use UCAS to compare what each university would expect for each of their courses.

Applicants can apply for up to 5 courses at university using the UCAS application system, so we encourage pupils to consider a range of universities for their chosen course to provide a breath of entry requirements needed.
